UR Gets Nearly $4.5 Million in Research Grants

The University of Rochester has been awarded two grants totaling nearly $4.5 million for cancer and heart research.
The university is to get more than $3.7 million to fund cancer research projects through the National Cancer Institute, and $742,413 to further develop treatment of Long QT Syndrome Type 3, a disorder affecting the heart’s electrical activity.
