A grant will help researchers at the University of Rochester in the study which aims to make it easier to learn more about a person’s health.
The University of Rochester and SiMpore, Inc., were awarded more than $33,000 from non-profit FuzeHub.
The grant relates to the study of biomarkers, which can be measured to help obtain information about a person’s health or the status of a disease.
The data is measured through bodily fluids.
SiMPore is in the process of creating a biomarker detection platform. Professor James McGrath of the University of Rochester’s Department of Biomedical Engineering will work on a prototype of a consumable component, in addition to testing it.
