In much the way the coronavirus caught the healthcare system unprepared to respond to our vulnerability to a global pandemic, the events of this past weekend have exposed the dangers of failing to address long-extant inequities and inequalities in our social structures. The need to be vigilant is nothing new to the bio/med industry, but 2020 has had a way of delivering that lesson in spades.
Beginning today, we will be transitioning this update to a weekly, rather than daily, update so that we can turn our focus to the more long-term and strategic needs of our members. We hope to remain vigilant to new developments in the coronavirus pandemic and may find ourselves returning to the daily format as circumstances dictate.
