Good Monday morning. This past weekend – a holiday respite for many – has come to an end and today’s news reflects the now familiar mix of coronavirus fatigue and dogged determination to defeat the disease.

On Friday, Governor Cuomo announced New York State is ramping up antibody testing, a key component of any plan to reopen the economy. The state is currently conducting 300 of these antibody tests, and is on track to conduct 1,000 per day by this week’s end and 2,000 per day by the following week. As part of the state's continued efforts to bring mass testing to scale, the Governor offered a full partnership with the federal government to conduct this important work. In the interim, the Governor announced that New York, Connecticut and New Jersey will create a regional testing partnership to bring mass testing to scale for residents in these states.

Tomorrow, MedTech will host its second Coronavirus Town Hall, a chance for our members to hear from government leaders, learn about available programs and funding opportunities, and share best practices with one another.  We’re honored to be joined by US Representative Joe Morelle, of New York’s 25th Congressional District, who will talk about the federal government’s response to the pandemic. You won’t want to miss this informative and valuable call.
