State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University has completed the final phase of its biotech accelerator, called Upstate Biotech.
The 60,000-square-foot facility features wet- and dry-lab space, a shared equipment wet-lab, shared equipment public areas, and the Upstate MIND—a Medical Innovation and Novel Discovery Center, which encompasses state-of-the-art technology with shared concept space for tenants to access service providers, mentors, and experts.
A more than 200-seat theater, called Theater in the MIND, will be used to host TED talks and other multimedia presentations, and will house pod-like structures for start-ups, additional conference facilities, and dining space.
