As a prelude to Albany Molecular Research Inc. moving into its permanent home within the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, a state nanotechnology-based economic development agency has officially purchased the space it needs for the Buffalo Medical Innovation and Commercialization Hub.
According to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's office, the Fort Schuyler Management Corp. bought the 46,000-square-foot, seventh floor of Ciminelli Real Estate Corp.'s Conventus building, paying $9,325,924.
Conventus is under construction and is due to open later this spring. The building is considered one of the key parcels within the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
Funds came from the Buffalo Billion economic development pool.
