New Scale Technologies Hires Jeff Kramer to Head Global Business Development

New Scale Technologies (www.newscaletech.com) has named Jeff Kramer Vice President of Business Development, responsible for developing strategic business deals and partnerships with key customers of the company’s miniature motion systems. Kramer has more than 30 years of experience in engineering design, engineering management, product marketing and OEM account management in the optoelectronics, spectroscopy, semiconductor, laser, medical, and scientific and industrial analytical instrument markets.
“Jeff has demonstrated strengths in major account development and technical sales, and a deep understanding of the markets we serve,” said David Henderson, president of New Scale Technologies.
Kramer joins New Scale from Newport Corporation, where he was new business development manager for the Richardson Gratings Division. Prior to that he was product marketing manager at MKS Instruments’ ENI Products Division, where he was responsible for product line P&L, international technical sales and product strategy. He previously held research engineering and managerial roles at the University of Rochester’s Laboratory for Laser Energetics, serving as deputy project manager for the OMEGA EP high-energy inertial confinement fusion laser project. He has additional experience at Zecal Technology, Telog Instruments, Tycos Life Sciences and Metrosonics. He also designed and patented a hand-held therapeutic recording instrument for Digital Therapeutics.
Kramer has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from The William E. Simon School at the University of Rochester.
