MedTech Association Announces Keynotes for MEDTECH 2016

MedTech Association is pleased to announce that Dr. Joan Fallon, founder and CEO of Curemark and Sen. Kay R. Hagan (D-NC), senior policy consultant at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and former U.S. Senator, have been selected as the keynote speakers for MEDTECH 2016, the leading bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) conference on September 26 – 28 in Albany, N.Y. Jim Clemmer, president and CEO of AngioDynamics, is also addressing select attendees at the private Executive Breakfast at the conference.
Dr. Fallon, recently recognized as an industry visionary and one of the PM360 ELITE 100 most influential people in healthcare, is a specialist and industry leader in pediatric development, and has been at the forefront of research for autism and other related disorders. Dr. Fallon’s session, scheduled for Tuesday, September 27 at 9:10am EDT, will chronicle her journey from pediatrics to Curemark, focusing on the key issues and ethical practices that impact how entrepreneurs and executives address innovation in running their business.

Sen. Hagan serves as a senior policy consultant in the public law and policy practice at Akin Gump, advising clients on public policy issues, including health care and education. Sen. Hagan has more than 16 years’ experience holding elected office in both the U.S. Senate and the North Carolina Senate, championing legislation to aid businesses and improve healthcare and education, and remains active supporting local and national election campaigns. During her term as U.S. Senator, Sen. Hagan served on four Senate committees including the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee. In Sen. Hagan’s session, scheduled for Tuesday, September 27 at 12:00pm EDT, she will share her views on the impact that the upcoming presidential election will have on the future of healthcare.

Mr. Clemmer is a 25-year veteran of the medical device industry and recently joined AngioDynamics, a leading provider of innovative, minimally invasive medical devices for vascular access, surgery, peripheral vascular disease and oncology based out of Latham, N.Y. In his invite-only executive session, Mr. Clemmer will share his experiences, insights and expectations on the future of both the healthcare industry and AngioDynamics.
