“We are proud to present the Member of the Year award to Bob,”said Jessica Crawford, MedTech president. “Bob has been of tremendous service to our association and has supported the Bio/Med industry by providing custom software development for equipment manufacturers such as Kodak, Xerox and J&J. He has been a long standing member of our Board of Directors and we are happy to thank and recognize him in this way.”
Ruppenthal, a founder of RTEmd, led the company in strategic direction, business development and administration for more than 30 years. His company was recently acquired by Sparton Corporation, another MedTech member company. The acquisition brings together RTEmd’s software development and quality assurance services with Sparton’s electrical and mechanical design and manufacturing for complex medical devices.
Before founding RTEmd, Ruppenthal was a practicing electrical engineer, designing hardware and software for complex systems in aerospace and medical applications. He received his bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida.
Ruppenthal serves on the Board of Directors for MedTech and sits on MedTech’s marketing and membership development committee. He was recognized for his outstanding service to MedTech through these roles, as well as, his unwavering dedication to the growth of the Bio/Med industry in NYS.
