MedTech Committee Overview
MedTech’s committees of the board help to further the success of the organization through guiding and supporting the organizations strategy and daily activities. The committees represent a wide array of interests and any member is welcome to join a committee at any time. For more information contact Sarah at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Marketing & Membership Development (MMD)
MMD is responsible for overseeing and making recommendations to the Board relative to membership, including member recruitment and retention efforts, and facilitates communications among members, the Board, and committee members. The committee also oversees general marketing activities.
Issues, Events & Services Committee (IES)
IES is responsible for overseeing and making recommendations to the Board relative to events and programming of benefit to members including an annual events plan, related speakers and sponsors.
Government and Public Affairs Committee (GPA)
GPA is responsible for overseeing and making recommendations to the Board relative to education, advocacy, and outreach efforts at local, state and federal levels on public policy issues of interest to members.
The finance committee is responsible for supporting the treasurer in the execution of his or her responsibilities to advise the Board on all matters relating to the current and projected financial health of the organization.
Governance and Nominating Committee (G&N)
The Governance and Nominating Committee shall be responsible for overseeing and making recommendations to the Board relative to organizational matters, formal governing policies and procedures, the composition of the Board and its various committees, and the assignment of tasks to various officers, committees and members.
The Workforce Development Committee is responsible for reaching out and staying connected with Human Resource and Workforce groups within our membership, and advocating on their behalf for the continued growth, training and retention of New York State employees in the bio/med industry.
