New York State is the place for bio/med innovation and healthcare product development. Its assets are unparalleled: the nation’s highest concentration of world-class universities and research institutions; a highly educated workforce; a location easily accessible to North America’s leading bio/med and transportation hubs; ample low-cost, sustainable power sources; and abundant, affordable manufacturing capacity. By leveraging these strengths, cities like Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany have transformed themselves into life sciences hotspots while the Hudson Valley, the Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier and the North Country have taken advantage of their own unique strengths to create micro-regions attractive to manufacturing and entrepreneurship.
MedTech was proud to partner with government, regional economic development agencies, leading academic research centers, and private industry to present EmpireStateFocus’22, an interactive online series spotlighting five New York innovation regions and their bio/med assets. We took a close look at Albany/Capital Region/North Country; Buffalo/Niagara; Syracuse/Central New York/Mohawk Valley; Rochester/Finger Lakes; and Westchester/Hudson Valley.
We explored our state’s unique strengths and the reasons you should start, locate, or grow your life sciences business in New York State. We showcased the regions’ leading bio/med assets, connected you to the programs and institutions building New York’s bio/med future and introduced you to the movers and shakers propelling New York forward.
