Our portfolio includes the RetinaVue care delivery model, which is helping to eradicate diabetic retinopathy, the leading cause of preventable vision loss and blindness among working-age adults, and Spot Vision Screener, which can detect symptoms of vision loss in children as young as 6 months of age.

As the West Region Vision Care Sales AVP, reporting to the Executive Director, Vision Care, you will serve as a regional manager with responsibility for developing, managing, supporting and enabling a new and focused team of Vision Care sales executives and ensuring achievement of the regional business plan, while maintaining financial discipline to ensure a profitable territory. You understand that numbers alone do not define a team and that the attitude and integrity demonstrated while achieving the numbers determine the true measure of success.
 
Within this position you will be responsible for driving team revenue and achieving quarterly and annual targets for the Vision Care sales portfolio within a region covering the western states from Colorado to California.
 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
As an experienced sales leader and coach, you understand how to operate as an expert in the customer’s business and position yourself as a trusted advisor and consultant, enabling you to confidently lead C-suite executives through the implementation process for a new and innovative solution. Further, you are experienced with leading a team of strong A-players to success, accentuating their strengths and helping them minimize their challenges. Your dedication to helping your team thrive and become the best they can be in pursuit of the organizational mission results in success.
 
  • Lead your team by example, deeply committed to the vision and mission of the organization as well as divisional target goals in pursuit of the greater vision.
  • Coach your team to successfully manage time, territory, customers and opportunities.
  • Lead your team to successful goal attainment through timely execution of business plans.
  • Utilize CRM to develop and report on forecasts, manage and document the sales process and move business to close in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Coach team members on both deal and skill-based opportunities.
  • Communicate bi-directionally to proactively provide customer feedback to internal stakeholders in an ongoing effort to continuously improve our solution and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively structure cross-functional teams and resources to efficiently execute on
  • Develop expert-level knowledge of the RetinaVue Network, as well as the IDN market and the developing changes in the healthcare landscape, including value- based contracting and the role of quality incentives guiding care delivery.
Requirements:

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated success leading sales team to exceed goals and operate with financial discipline, integrity and commitment to company values
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively hiring, developing and managing the performance of a distributed field sales team
  • Strong background working with IDNs
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and build cross-functional relationships and collaborate both within and outside the team
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a positive can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and CRM, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Ability to travel at least 60%
