About the Role:

Novatek is seeking a Technical Communications Manager, described above.  Alongside the President, she or he will champion the achievement of business objectives, ensure Novatek teammates are engaged and developing, processes are defined and adhered to, and ensure Novatek customers are truly satisfied.

The mission is to deliver outstanding quality and responsiveness, meet and exceed client expectations, and deliver projects on-time and within budget. In successful execution of the role, this position enables the company to achieve profitability and maximize client growth potential.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee technical writing and training projects and support contracts to ensure quality, delivery, and profitability. Provide project management, where needed, to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage service quality and consistency by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Create programs and tools to continuously improve performance and services
  • Hire, mentor and develop team of technical writer, instructional designers and editors.
  • Create an environment of accountability and excellence among the team.
  • Work closely with Novatek’s President and Business Development Manager on strategic relationships/opportunities and any related business issues which may need to be resolved.

 

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ management experience
  • Project management experience. PMP certification desired
  • 5+ years’ experience in technical communications field
