The postdoctoral research associate will design and conduct experiments in multiple aspects of posttranscriptional gene regulation and translation in the fungal pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans. In collaboration with the PI, the individual will analyze data collected, and will prepare manuscripts for publication.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry or related subject required. Successful candidate must have experience in basic methods of molecular biology and biochemistry.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with Cryptococcus neoformans is preferred. Experience with fluorescence microscopy and protein localization preferred. Experience in analyzing RNA stability, affinity purification of RNA binding proteins, polysome profiling, and RNA-Seq library construction is preferred.
