The Community Research Liaison's primary role will be to work from within the community to support the institutional goal of engaging more diverse, older adults in clinical studies. These studies focus on understanding aging and finding treatments for memory loss. The CRL's work will be embedded in the local community, building relationships with older adults, care partners, and advocates to provide a foundation for a new bridge between community members and aging researchers. The CRL will also lead collaborative workgroups called Accelerators, which bring together community members, organizations, researchers and health care providers to review and improve diversity recruitment practices for selected studies. These workgroups would include educational activities to connect the community to available opportunities. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
