The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is seeking a North America Benefits and HR Administrator. This North America Benefits & HR Administrator provides high quality customer service excellence to all employees by having a clear understanding of the benefit offerings and regulations. This role is responsible for the administration of group benefits programs in US and Canada such as health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, ancillary benefit plans, workers comp, travel and accident, 401(k), retirement and other plans, as well as HR Operations administration. 

The Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Benefits Manager in  preparing and coordinating the annual benefits enrollment process, including system testing, development of employee communication & education.
  • Participates in the education of employees at new hire and throughout the year which includes assisting employee with understanding the benefit offerings.
  • Shared responsibility for HR Operations work, including new hire orientation, Email, 800# line, Workday transaction processing, payroll support and employee issue resolution.
  • Responsible for updating North America employee files
  • Coordinate leaves of absence and work with 3rd party vendor to process claims or requests (medical operations, worker’s compensation etc.)
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and ensure timely payment of premiums to vendors
  • Handle all reimbursement related to benefit premiums
  • Work closely with 3rd party benefits administrator
  • Support and participate in ongoing Benefits and HR initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate and maintain communication with accounting department 
Requirements:

The Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required and equivalent work experience.
  • Three plus years employee benefits &/or related HR experience.
  • Must be diligent in terms of quality of work product and customer focus and responsiveness.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and DOL requirements
  • Proficient Excel skills required; advanced Excel and/or Access.
  • Strong written and verbal skills are necessary to effectively interact with Team members
  • Work collaboratively onsite daily with Benefits, HR Operations, payroll, procurement, legal and finance teams.
  • Engage with all US and Canada benefits vendors.
  • Travel requirement: 5%
