Local tourism leaders want Western New Yorkers with ties to professional, religious, hobby, cultural, sports and other groups to encourage those organizations to bring their meetings and conferences to Buffalo.
Visit Buffalo Niagara on Tuesday launched its “Bring it Home” campaign to urge local residents to use their relationships and connections to generate more tourism and convention business for the region.
“We are thrilled to be hosting our annual conference in Buffalo this year, and especially at such an exciting time in the city’s resurgence,” MedTech President Jessica Crawford said. “Even more exciting is the role our industry is playing with this transformation. You can actually feel the momentum surrounding our industry here in Western New York.”
This year’s meeting is the largest in the group’s history, and MedTech has already committed to returning in 2017, Crawford said, citing the reception the organization has received. “Our attendees, when they’re here, will understand why we’re excited to come back,” she said. Organizers “will do whatever it takes to make sure your conference goes off without a hitch, and they have gone above and beyond.”
