When the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences welcomes students next fall, it will begin a new chapter for UB and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
The $375 million, 628,000-square-foot building is an anchor of the medical campus and represents the region’s future. The eight-story school is expected to play a significant role in attracting and retaining medical professionals ranging from faculty to physicians and researchers.
“It is the right building in the right location,” said Dr, Michael Cain, Jacobs School dean and UB vice president for health sciences. “It is going to produce enormous synergies.”
