UB Researchers Receive Grant to Develop Clean-Coal Technology

The University at Buffalo and two of its partner agencies are receiving $1.9 million from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop carbon capture technologies.
UB researchers will work with Newark, Calif.-based Membrane Technology and Research Inc. and Helios-NRG LLC of Amherst to develop a membrane that will allow hydrogen to pass through and keep carbon dioxide out.
