Two Companies Join Syracuse-based Medical Technology Organization

Syracuse, N.Y. — A packaging company and a software firm are the two newest members of Syracuse-based MedTech Association, a trade group for the bioscience and medical technology industries in New York.

CWS Contract Packaging, of Norwich and Programmable Equipment Co., of Amherst, joined the association this year.

CWS provides packaging, kitting and assembly services to a wide range of markets, including pharmaceutical, cosmetic and retail companies.

Programmable Equipment is a software engineering consulting firm specializing in automation software and equipment for industry and defense applications.

MedTech was created in 2004 by founding members Welch Allyn, ConMed, Sensis and Bristol-Myers Squibb. It now has more than 100 members.
