Tuesday, October 25, 2016
A center at Rochester Institute of Technology that brings together university and corporate researchers for work in 3-D technologies celebrated its official opening on Tuesday.
"Today represents an important milestone in RIT's remarkable trajectory," said Bill Destler at Tuesday's ribbon cutting.
With the new AMPrint Center, Destler noted, RIT is at the "front-edge of a rapidly growing industry," applying 3-D technology for innovative manufacturing.
The center, which is under the direction of RIT engineering professor Denis Cormier, takes up 3,200 square feet on the fourth floor of Institute Hall on the RIT campus.
