MedTech Association Experiences Tremendous Growth in First and Second Quarter

MedTech Association, a membership-based trade association for the bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) industry in New York State, is proud to announce that 15 new companies have joined the organization during the last two quarters. The new member companies include (in alpha order) Algonquin Studios, AXA Advisors, AXON Communications, First Niagara Risk Management, Gooding Co. Inc., Green Cleaning Technologies, Hancock Estabrook, Ichor Therapeutics, Imaging Solutions Group, iuvo BioScience, Loeb & Loeb, Nixon Peabody, PARC, a Xerox Company, Pharma International Inc., and Tapecon.  

“We are thrilled to welcome these new companies to our MedTech family” said MedTech president, Jessica Crawford. “MedTech offers a broad range of services to our member companies and the tremendous growth that we have seen in the last two quarters is a great testament to the betterment that we bring to the New York State Bio/Med community.”

MedTech’s mission of supporting the Bio/Med industry in New York State is done through a variety of ways including educational opportunities, connections with other members, advocacy and public outreach.

Algonquin Studios

Algonquin enables a well-aligned physician network to collaborate and move the needle on care quality/satisfaction, cost and population health. Green Cleaning Technologies, LLC

Green Cleaning Technologies, LLC (GCT) has developed a completely integrated, green "Extended Protection" (XP) system for disinfecting and cleaning to protect people and the facilities they work and live in. Products include 24-hour hand disinfecting, Extended Protection for all surfaces, 25 wash laundry disinfecting (and deodorizing), safe and effective Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) technology that does not rely on questionable filtration and an equipment portfolio to reduce labor typically by 75 percent. Ichor Therapeutics, Inc.

Ichor Therapeutics, Inc. is a pre-clinical biotechnology company located in LaFayette, N.Y. The company has several intramural research programs that broadly focus on therapeutic interventions for age-related disease. Ichor is also involved in several smaller ventures aimed at reducing the barriers to entry for biotechnology entrepreneurs and independent scientists. Currently, Ichor Therapeutics is developing an enzyme augmentation therapy to treat dry and wet forms of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the leading cause of vision loss in persons over the age of 50. Imaging Solutions Group

The Imaging Solutions Groupprovides a full spectrum of components and processes to enable them to meet targets. They provide plug-and-play cameras with standard interfaces and can customize these platforms to create a specific function for any application. The engineers at the Imaging Solutions Group design a custom imaging system, optimized for cost and performance.

iuvo BioScience, LLC

iuvo BioScience, LLC, headquartered in Rush, N.Y., maintains a 30,000-square-foot preclinical laboratory testing facility that offers on-site Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care accredited vivarium, microbiology and specialty testing services for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, as well as complete validation and testing for the Erie, Pa. site sterilization services operations. iuvo BioScience in Erie operates from a 35,000-square-foot facility that contains sterilization vessels that utilize 100% ethylene oxide as the sterilizing agent, and offer capacities varying from two to 14 pallets.  iuvo BioScience has a talented team whose breadth of testing and consulting expertise spans multiple disciplines including analytical chemistry, microbiology, toxicology, and sterilization within the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
