MedTech Association Announces New Hires

MedTech Association, a member based trade association for bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) companies in New York State, is proud to announce two new hires. Kristin Dowsland joined the team as member communications coordinator; and Alyssa Facteau, a marketing student from SUNY Oswego, joined as the new public relations and events marketing intern.

Dowsland is a graduate of Le Moyne College with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a major concentration in advertising. Dowsland has previously worked at Heights Global Marketing at Le Moyne College as a marketing analyst and graphics designer. As the member communications coordinator at MedTech, Dowsland is responsible for managing communication and relationships among current members. She also develops and implements messaging and materials for new member recruitment, onboarding and general MedTech events.

Facteau is a junior at SUNY Oswego, planning to graduate in December 2017. At Oswego, she is an active member of Oswego’s Phi Beta Lambda chapter and has previously interned within SUNY Oswego’s office of Career Services and Chirello Advertising in Fulton, New York. As an intern at MedTech, Facteau is responsible for tasks including writing press releases, monitoring and updating media lists, managing social media and planning and implementing event promotions.

MedTech Association Announces New Hires

MedTech Association, a member based trade association for bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) companies in New York State, is proud to announce three new hires. Kelly Gardner Williamson joined the team as a marketing and events manager; Lauren Eaton, a public relations student from SUNY Oswego, joined as the new public relations and events marketing intern; and Michael Smith, an international economics and business student from St. Lawrence University, joined as the business development intern.

Williamson is a SUNY Oswego graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. In addition to her work at MedTech, Williamson is pursuing a graduate degree in Project Management at Empire State College. She was most recently the coordinator of public relations and alumni communications at Morrisville State College. As the marketing and events manager at MedTech, Williamson takes a leadership role in managing programming and is responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated marketing and communications plan to support member-driven initiatives, events and training for programs that meet the needs of members and the New York State Bio/Med community.

Eaton is a senior at SUNY Oswego, planning to graduate in May 2017. At Oswego, she is on the PRSSA E-board and is the public relations intern at the Office of International Education. As an intern at MedTech, Eaton is responsible for tasks including, but not limited to, writing press releasing, monitoring and updating media lists, managing social media and planning and implementing event promotions.

Smith is a sophomore at St. Lawrence. As a business development intern at MedTech, he will help further improve the relationship between the association and its member companies.
