MedTech Association Announces 2014 Member of the Year

MedTech Association, a membership based trade association for the bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) industry in New York State (NYS) is proud to recognize John Boger, partner with Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti in Albany, NY, as this year’s Member of the Year.
Boger accepted the award at MedTech’s Annual Members’ Dinner, held on June 19 at Seneca Hickory Stick in Lewiston, NY. Additional award recipients for Companies of the Year were Polymer Conversions, the Rochester Institute of Technology and KeyBank. Sixteen other companies that have been with MedTech for the last 10 years were also recognized.
“We are proud to present the Member of the Year Award to John,” said Jessica Crawford, MedTech president. “John’s volunteer services to MedTech and his dedication to our association and the Bio/Med industry in general is truly inspirational. We are happy to recognize his tremendous efforts and to thank him for all of his hard work.”
Boger is a partner with the intellectual property law firm Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti and a cum laude graduate from Syracuse University College of Law. Boger also graduated cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, from Syracuse University and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah.
Boger serves on the Board of Directors for MedTech and is the co-chair for MedTech’s Issues, Events and Services committee, which is responsible for planning MedTech’s events throughout the year. John was recognized for his outstanding service to MedTech through these seats, as well as his donation of legal services to the organization and his unwavering dedication to the growth of the Bio/Med industry in NYS.
Boger has previously served as Senior Counsel to Capital District Physicians' Health Plan, Inc. and spent eight years working at DePuy, Inc. as a product development engineer and product manager specializing in orthopaedic implant design. He also worked for DePuy–DuPont Orthopaedics, Inc. as the venture project manager, focusing on the development of advanced implantable biomaterials.
MedTech is an active New York State association of pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical technology companies, their suppliers and service providers, and research universities.
