MedTech Announces Five New Members

MedTech Association, a bioscience and medical technology (Bio/Med) trade association, is proud to announce that five new companies have joined as MedTech members this quarter. The member companies include those on the list below (in alpha order).

“We are excited to welcome five new members this quarter, especially in our 10th year of operation,” said MedTech Association President, Jessica Crawford. “The continued growth of our membership is a testament to the broad range of services we provide to our members as we further the Bio/Med industry in New York State.”  

MedTech’s mission of supporting the Bio/Med industry in New York State is done through a variety of ways including educational opportunities, connections with other members, advocacy and public outreach.

3Pound Health is a health and wellness software company with the goal of empowering individuals and engaging communities to optimize their health through sustained behavior modification. They focus on the principles of human behavior and the power of connecting people by utilizing information in unique ways. 3Pound Health is located in Syracuse, NY.

Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship at Syracuse University

The Falcone Center of Entrepreneurship is the outreach arm of the Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises Department in Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management. The Falcone Center works to facilitate entrepreneurial activity on campus and in local and regional communities by providing resources for creating new ventures, new products and new methods through a variety of programs and initiatives. The Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship is located in Syracuse, NY.

Gorbel Medical

Gorbel Inc., a global leader in developing overhead material handling, ergonomic lifting and safety systems for a range of industries, is now applying its expertise in a new field: physical rehabilitation. NYS Science and Technology Center at Syracuse University

The NYS Science and Technology Center at Syracuse University runs the Technology Commercialization Law Program (TCLP), which is an experiential learning program that pairs law students with companies and entrepreneurs that are looking to commercialize new technologies. Students work in teams with guidance from commercialization experts to examine real technologies that are looking to go from lab to market and provide valuable legal and regulatory research. The NYS Science and Technology Center is located in Syracuse, NY.
