Drug developer Regeneron is in negotiations to buy the former headquarters of MapInfo, the homegrown software mapping company that was acquired by Pitney Bowes nearly a decade ago.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of Eylea, medication that treats one of the leading causes of adult blindness, has hired more than 1,000 people over the past four years to keep up with production demands at its manufacturing complex in East Greenbush, New York.
The company is headquartered in Tarrytown, and employs more than 1,400 people in Rensselaer County. The company filed plans with the East Greenbush Planning Department earlier this year that could lead to the construction of a second campus in Rensselaer County.
