2. What are the benefits of doing business in New York State?
The economy of New York is reflected in its gross state product in 2015 of $1.44 trillion, ranking third in size behind only behind California and Texas. New York City excels in manufacturing across multiple industries and in addition, the city serves as headquarters for many large industrial corporations whose manufacturing activities often take place entirely outside New York. In addition companies in upstate NY region are regional to our Mississauga and Markham business units.
3. In your opinion, why does the medical device industry matter so much in New York State?
The New York area is one of the largest and richest bioscience communities in the world and ranks in the top ten of states with the highest number of medical device companies. It is the home of several pharma and biotechnology companies, supports thousands of direct biotechnology jobs, is home to over 25% of the clinical trials in the US; and lays claim to the world’s largest concentration of academic medical centers. The future focus on developing medical and bioscience technologies re-invigorates upstate NY and helps to diversify economically.
4. While displaying at MD&M East, what are you looking forward to the most?
This will be our first year attending MD&M East as an exhibitor and we’re excited just to be a part of the event. We’re looking forward to networking with and meeting the attendees as well as other exhibitors and leaders and learning more about new technologies and solutions in the medical market. We hope that exhibiting with MedTech at this event will allow Creation to raise our profile in the region.
