Screen Shot 20140710 at 124711 PMThis year, the GREAT Tech Awards will encourage high-growth technology companies in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania to select the UK as destination of choice for international growth.

The award winners will be judged by a panel of prestigious industry leaders: David Karp, CEO/Founder of Tumblr; Pete Cashmore, CEO/Founder of Mashable; Lily Cole, Founder of Impossible.com; Douglas Atkin, FinTech Fund Portfolio Manager at Guggenheim Partners; Marco Mohwinckel, Global Head Integrated Care Solutions at Janssen Healthcare Innovation; Margaret Molloy, Global Chief of Marketing at Siegel+Gale; and, Yinka Adegoke, Deputy Editor at Billboard.

Competition categories are: Education, Finance, Health, Internet of Things, Lifestyle, and Media.

Applications must be received by 11:59 EST on 1 August 2014.

The prize for the top six innovative companies will include a roundtrip flight to London, hotel accommodation, access to industry contacts and resources including lawyers, investors, accountants, recruiters, property agents, mentors, and government officials, and attendance at a UK trade show.

One further prize will be given to a stand-out UK company with a presence in NY, NJ, CT or PA that can demonstrate commercial success using a disruptive technology. The UK winner will enjoy promotion at events, in publications and more.
