The Opportunity: As the company transitions, we are seeking a Project Manager in Rochester, NY to operate as an organizational change agent to lead cross-functional teams that define, design, develop and deliver divisional level projects and outcomes.
The Responsibilities: * Manages the program to ensure delivery of business results: time, cost, quality, business case. * Communicates progress and escalates issues as needed to senior management. * Supports assessment of new projects and leads development of project proposals to senior management. * Acts as change agent seeking and driving ways to improve productivity of the project management process. * Ensures application of program management standards. * Follows Company processes. * Defines and executes all aspects of program management including plans and budgets. Business result driven. * Demonstrates accountability for results and decisions. * Leads from Big Picture orientation--drives focus on company strategy and business results. * Possesses excellent communication and influencing skills with senior management. * Leads diverse (including geography) teams to make effective decisions and meet deliverables. * Seeks and drives productivity gains. * Makes technical decisions. * Manages external partners
* Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is an asset. * 8-10+ years of total business experience required. * Position requires demonstrated leadership role of complex cross functional projects. * Experience managing complex programs in R&D, operations, supply chain, IT functions highly preferred. * PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred. * Expertise using MS Project or equivalent project management software required. * Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills required. * Ability to take calculated risks and demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross functional team environment required. * Ability to influence and present information to all levels of the organization including senior management required. * Black Belt is strongly preferred.
