The Opportunity: The Financial Accountant executes the day to day activities supporting general accounting, intercompany, fixed assets and monthly close activities in accordance with service delivery requirements. The candidate would be a member of the newly formed Shared Services Center in Rochester, New York; therefore the role will entail regional coordination and collaboration with North American Finance in a timely and efficient manner.
The Responsibilities: * Support general accounting and monthly close requirements including posting journal entries, recording accruals, and reconciling accounts * Perform Inter-Company accounting activities including invoice generation, reconciliations and settlement * Account for fixed assets including monitoring asset movement and calculating depreciation * Prepare management reports to facilitate decision making * Support OCD countries in meeting reporting, audit and compliance requirements * Perform other work related duties as assigned.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. * 2+ years of progressive experience in Accounting andor Finance preferred * Accounting Certification Preferred (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred. * Must have strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail * Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management * Fluent in written and spoken English * Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes and initiatives * Experience working in a Shared Service Center is a plus * Knowledge of US GAAP reporting requirements * Knowledge of SAP is a plus Equal Opportunity: Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
