Project Coordinator - MedTech Association

As a key member of the MedTech team, the Project Coordinator takes a leadership role in shaping and managing the events, programs and service delivery to support the association’s strategic priorities and member-driven initiatives. In addition, you will serve as the association’s office manager and as the primary liaison to one of the association’s committees of the board. You will be expected to interact regularly with senior executives from a wide range of regional businesses and universities to identify and respond to emerging programming opportunities within the Upstate Bio/Med community.
In this role you will liaise directly with the Issues, Events & Services Committee to identify and develop compelling industry events and to ensure consistent, professional delivery of high-quality information and interactions. You will actively support program development and planning efforts, including interacting with speakers, developing budgets, and managing pre and post event logistics. You will work with MedTech staff, members and external partners to develop a complete, compelling set of educational programs that meet the needs of the MedTech membership and the Upstate Bio/Med community.
Additionally, you will hold primary responsibility for managing smooth operations of the MedTech office and will oversee the association database and IT systems. You will also support key administrative functions, serving as the office point person for regular financial and human resource record keeping.
Responsibilities include leading on-going planning and event tracking efforts and communication with staff, partners and member groups to ensure effective coordination and communication of MedTech’s activities.
3-7 years of experience working in office management or event planning is required. Bio/Med, high tech and conference planning experience in a fast-paced setting is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required and a business degree is a plus. The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. A customer-centric, collaborative, professional and decisive work style is essential. You must be a team player, reflecting high integrity as well as a strong work ethic.
