Board of Directors
As a corporately driven organization, the MedTech Board of Directors is comprised of senior officers of the manufacturing companies: 

 
Stephen F. Meyer
Chair, Board of Directors
Meyer has been executive vice president at Welch Allyn, Inc. since 2006. He is executive manager of the core physical exam and blood pressure businesses, corporate communications, brand development and business intelligence, and corporate research and engineering. He chairs the Welch Allyn Executive Committee and is a co-chair of the Welch Allyn Product Strategies Board. Meyer has been a loyal Welch Allyn employee since 1981. He became a MedTech board member in 2006. His objective as chair of the board is to help MedTech fully realize its goal to accelerate growth of its member companies while collaboratively expanding skills and employment in the region.



Daniel Jonas
Secretary, Board of Directors
Jonas, a founding member of MedTech and Board member since 2004, joined ConMed Corporation as General Counsel in August 1998 and became the Vice President-Legal Affairs in March 1999. In September 1999 through July 2005, Jonas assumed responsibility for some of ConMed’s Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance departments. In March 2003, he also became responsible for the administration of ConMed’s ethics policy. In addition to his duty as secretary of the MedTech Board of Directors, Jonas also serves as co-chair of the Issues, Events & Services committee. 



Richard Cauchon
Treasurer, Board of Directors
Cauchon, a founding member of MedTech, has been with Sensis Corporation since 1999 and has been the head of the Corporate Initiatives group since 2003. He has been a major force in moving Sensis in the direction of re-inventing the company paradigm for addressing defense, health, medical and cyber security issues. He has extensive experience in advanced technology marketing, business development, and government relations. Cauchon’s goal for MedTech is to provide value across the entire healthcare-industrial complex and ultimately for each citizen of our region and across the country. MedTech will do this by leveraging the intellectual capital of our region to the benefit of all. 



Martin Brusdeilins
Director, Board of Directors
As Vice President, Research & Development Worldwide, Brusdeilins oversees new product development, research, and product support in Rochester, NY. His work encompasses the fields of clinical diagnostics, immunodiagnostics, immunohematology and blood screening equipment. Brusdeilins serves as a member on the Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics Global Management Board. He joined OCD in March 2003. Prior to joining OCD, Brusdeilins spent 17 years at Roche Diagnostics. Most recently he was Roche's Senior Vice President and Head of Research & Development at Roche Near Patient Testing in Graz, Austria. Brusdeilins was appointed as a director to the MedTech board at MEDTECH 07, a Medical Device and Diagnostics Leadership Summit held in September. 



Kevin Conley
Director, Board of Directors
For over 20 years, Conley has been working to develop Seneca Data into a world class organization. With a strong focus on the customer, he has been able to grow Seneca Data not only into a premier computer distributor, but into the leading system builder in North America. He continues to lead the organization through modern manufacturing and superior customer service. With a strong technology background he is able to craft his vision into tangible new products and services which have led to their impressive growth. His goal is to enable MedTech to attract the best and brightest people and organizations to accelerate the growth of medical technologies and bioscience opportunities in NY State. 



Harold C. Mapes
Director, Board of Directors
Mapes has served as Vice President, Operations for AngioDynamics since 1996. He was the Director of Operations from 1995 to 1996 as well as Product Development Project Manager from 1992 to1994. Before joining AngioDynamics, Mapes held product development and supervisory manufacturing and engineering positions from 1988 to 1992 with Mallinckrodt Medical, a medical device manufacturer. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University. 



Dr. Joseph A. Miller, Jr.
Director, Board of Directors
Miller joined Corning Incorporated in July 2001 as senior vice president and chief technology officer. He is a member of numerous science and technology organizations including the National Academy of Engineering, American Association for the Advancement of Science-Fellow and the Industrial Research Institute. He is on the board of directors of Wilson Greatbatch Technologies, Inc., Dow Corning, and MedTech. His goal is to see MedTech facilitate the growth of the medical and biotechnology industries in the state of New York by providing the necessary information, support and venues required to promote the active engagement of industry, academe and government. . 



Amy Ryan
Director, Board of Directors
After her 16-year tenure with InfiMed Inc., Ryan was appointed as President in October 2007. Prior to her appointment, Ryan honed leadership experience as Executive Vice President of the company. With expertise in operations development, engineering, marketing and P&L management, Ryan looks to strengthen InfiMed’s trusted commitment to high quality products, global service, and innovative solutions to challenges. As a director, Ryan’s mission is to continue to enhance MedTech’s support for local companies who are bringing innovation to a globalizing medical technologies field.
